NATURAL
GAS VENTLESS ROOM HEATERS
These
room heaters can be either wall mounted or floor models and are 99.9%
efficient in their use of natural gas. They are superb choices for warming
your chilly basement, family rooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, room additions
or other locations where spot heating is needed.
Efficiency:
Natural gas ventless room heaters require no electricity to operate,
so they continue to provide warmth during electrical outages. All units
are equipped with piezo spark ignition and require no matches to light
the pilots. An 18,000 BTU/hour model costs approximately 11 to 12 cents
per hour to operate on their HIGH setting. To get an equivalent amount
of heat from three small electric heaters (which would also total the
same 18,000 BTU/hour), it would cost about 26 cents per hour to operate.
Features:
You may choose from models with manual heat selection or models with
thermostatic temperature control. Sizes range from 7,500 BTU/hour to 30,000
BTU/hour with some models offering fans to circulate the warmed air. Units
may be mounted on the wall or placed on the floor with base units. Blue
flame and infra-red models are available for your heating requirements.
Smaller models typically have burners of 18,000 BTU/hour and larger models
have burners of 30,000 BTU/hour and both generally offer three heating
levels from which to choose.
