NATURAL GAS HEAT PUMP A natural gas heat pump unit heats your home by moving heat from the outside air to the indoor air during the heating season. This equipment uses an engine powered by natural gas. Efficient: Since this equipment is a heat pump, it runs during the cooling season to provide you with air conditioning and dehumidification. During the summer months, the unit moves heat from the air inside your home to the outdoors to make you comfortable. While operating in the cooling mode, it operates at a SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) of 15.6. This efficiency equals or surpasses the top of the line electric air conditioners. Features: Units are available from cooling loads of 3 tons to 5 tons (36,000 BTU/hour to 60,000 BTU/hour). Heating capacities 65,000 BTU/hour to 85,000 BTU/hour are available. In addition to the heat which the unit provides, there is also an auxiliary heater which can provide an additional 80,000 BTU/hr of heat if needed. Since this is an internal combustion four cycle engine, maintenance should be done annually. This consists of changing the oil, oil filter, air cleaner and spark plug. This service can be performed in under an hour. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
