NATURAL
GAS GARAGE HEATER
The
typical two-car garage represents approximately 20% of the square footage
in an average home. Garages represent the most under-utilized space in
most climates during winter months. Garage heaters speed the warmup of
your car's heater, so you can prevent damaging cold engine starts. Ice
and snow don't remain frozen on your car's sheetmetal. In a warm garage,
you can perform auto maintenance, work on hobby activities, use your exercise
equipment or even keep your pets comfortable.
Efficiency:
Most natural gas garage heaters are ventless and require no chimney.
These units are 99.9% efficient and come in models of 25,000 BTU/hour
to 40,000 BTU/hour. A single unit is able to warm a two or two and one
half car garage (up to 550 square feet). The unit gets its fuel from the
natural gas line in your home, so you'll never have to fill kerosene cans
or propane tanks. Natural gas garage heaters require no electricity to
operate, so they run during power failures.
Features:
The natural gas garage heater is a wall-mounted appliance with a choice
of thermostat temperature control or manual heat level selection. Models
come in two types:
- Blue Flame design warms the air in the garage.
- Infra-Red, which like the sun's radiant energy, warms the floor and
objects before heating the surrounding air.
