Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania / Columbia Gas of Maryland adds new external affairs manager
CANONSBURG, PA - Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania and Columbia Gas of Maryland has added a new staff member Damian J. Wachter to its communications and external affairs department as manager of external affairs.
Wachter joins Columbia from the Energy Association of Pennsylvania (EAPA), where he served as Legislative Director. Prior to that, Wachter spent 8 years with the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, and in his last years he served as Executive Director of the House Consumer Affairs Committee, which has oversight of utilities matters.
In his new position, Wachter will be responsible for governmental affairs and legislative issues. A native of Pottsville, Pa., Wachter holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Susquehanna University and a juris doctor from Widener University. He currently resides in Wormleysburg, Pa.
