Pennsylvania and Maryland laws require homeowners and contractors to call, before digging, see the web site below for the law in your state. If you have contractors performing work for you, make sure they have called the one call system in your state - "IT'S THE LAW."
The number one cause of natural gas pipeline damage is from third parties digging near underground facilities. If you damage a natural gas pipeline while digging, you endanger your safety and the safety of others. You may also be responsible for repairs.
