Raising money for a worthy cause...
"Thank you for your donation to the Children's Hospital Free Care Fund," says E.C.H.O. Volunteer Jim McFadden. He and 24 other Columbia volunteers joined KDKA-TV during their annual Christmas telethon, to help raise money to provide medical care to low-income families.
The E.C.H.O. Volunteers host the "Columbia Challenge," a 30- minute block on the telethon when Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania will match dollar-for-dollar viewers pledges to the Free Care Fund. Over $10,000 was raised during the Columbia Gas pledge period.
