Paying your gas bill just got easier!

Now you can pay your gas bill by phone or online through NCO EasyPay. Call 1-800-284-8572 to pay by phone or visit the NCO Web site to pay via the Internet. Either way, it's fast, convenient, and completely secure.

Control how much you pay
Pay each month's bill in full, or specify the amount you want to pay that month, and rest assured that your gas bill will be paid on time. Be sure to have your 15-digit Columbia Gas account number handy when you make the payment.

If you pay by electronic check, there's no limit to the amount of your transaction. Limits on debit card transactions depend upon your agreement with the bank or financial institution that issued the card. If you pay by credit card, you can make multiple payments of up to $600. NCO EasyPay allows you to make one transaction per day from your touch-tone phone on their automated phone system or from their Web site. A NCO customer service representative is available to help you make multiple payments by phone on the same day, for larger payments of $1,000 or more, and for customers who call from a rotary-dial phone.

Convenience when you need it
NCO EasyPay offers automated payment processing for transactions made through their automated phone system at 1-800-284-8572 or from their Web site 23 hours a day (1:00 a.m. - 12:00 midnight), seven days a week. To speak with a NCO customer service representative, call between 7:00 a.m. and midnight, Monday through Friday, or between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Your payment is confirmed
NCO EasyPay will add a convenience fee for each transaction made through their payment service. You'll be given an opportunity to complete or stop the transaction after the total amount of your payment, including the convenience fee, has been calculated. Your Columbia Gas account will be credited only with the amount you specify to be paid on your gas bill, not including NCO's convenience fee. The total amount of your transaction will appear on your bank statement as "NCO Financial System," or on your credit/debit card statement as "NiSource/NCO."

NCO will provide a payment confirmation number for your records. If your payment is to connect or reconnect service, or to avoid shut-off, be sure to call Columbia DirectLink at 1-888-460-4332 to report the payment confirmation number. Press option 1 on the Columbia DirectLink automated phone system for billing and payment information or termination notices, then press option 2 for payment options, then option 3 to report a payment. Payment must be reported by 10:00 p.m. on the day before the scheduled termination date to avoid shut-off.
